Using Photoshop Filters

We will start with the Gradient Tool and create a gradient just like we did in the last lesson.

For our first filter, lets click on Filter, then Render, then Clouds

Let's look at the Distort features.  Click on Filter, Distort and then Spherize

When the new window shows up, you can adjust the level of the sphere, then click OK

You now have a Sphere effect.

Now, lets look at the Twirl effect.  Click on Filter, Distort, then Twirl

When your Twirl window pops up, select the angle and twirls you want then click OK.

This is your Twirl effect.

Now that we have played with a couple of the effects...why not take the time to play with the other effects...playing is the only way to find out what the tools do.  That way, you will know the effect, so you can use it in the work you will be doing later on.
